BRICS countries agreed on cooperation in field of digital revolution

Beijing. Jul 5. Silkroadnews - On Wednesday representatives of the BRICS countries adopted a Declaration on implementation of the Digital Industrial Revolution, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to TASS.
“We adopted a declaration. The gist of it is that we have been talking about partnerships within BRICS to prepare us all for the fourth industrial revolution and to ensure that the benefits of this are widely defused and they outweigh the risks and downsides,” the agency quoted saying by South Africa’s Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies on results of the third BRICS Industry Ministers’ meeting held in Magaliesburg, North-West Province of South Africa.
According to the document, in the near future a joint working group will be established to develop the legal framework and specific mechanisms and programs for cooperation, exchange of experience and advanced information in the field of digital technologies.
