BRICS countries in St. Petersburg discuss cooperation in the fight against corruption

Almaty. November 3. Silkroadnews - St. Petersburg hosted a meeting of senior officials of the BRICS countries, reported the press service of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
"The participants of the meeting exchanged views on approaches of BRICS to the international anti-corruption cooperation, discussed the issues included in the agenda of the 6th session of the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, as well as the operating parameters of the anti-corruption working group of the BRICS, which had been proposed by the Russian side and adjusted taking into account the views of all the delegations of the BRICS countries", - said the prosecutor's office on Tuesday.
These parameters include the development of joint approaches - members of the BRICS in international cooperation in the fight against corruption under the aegis of the UN; promotion of joint initiatives and coordinating efforts in other international forums - the OECD, APEC, the Group of Twenty, the FATF; development and adoption of the members of the BRICS joint anti-corruption instruments and initiatives on issues of mutual interest in this field; carrying out joint educational and training programs for the prevention of corruption for public (municipal) officials of Member States of the BRICS, as well as joint anti-corruption workshops and conferences; exchange of best practices in preventing and combating corruption; the development of practical cooperation in the fight against corruption, including law enforcement cooperation.
