BRICS leaders adopted the Xiamen Declaration

Almaty. September 5. Silkroadnews – The BRICS leaders adopted the Xiamen Declaration, Mir TV reported.
The BRICS leaders adopted the Xiamen Declaration on the name of the Chinese city, where the summit is held. The document consists of 68 items, the report said.
It is noted that Russia, China, India, Brazil and South Africa opposed unilateral economic sanctions and military intervention. The countries leaders stressed the intention to strengthen economic cooperation and drew attention to the need to create an open world economy.
Among the other issues, the declaration is said to specify the positive results of the cooperation of the BRICS countries, including creation of the New Development Bank, development of a strategy for economic partnership of member countries and pool of conditional foreign exchange reserves, development of cooperation in the field of security and politics.
One of the points condemns the nuclear test of the DPRK, and also agrees with the political solution of the nuclear problem on the Korean peninsula.
According to TV channel, the summit participants approved several important agreements.
Russia and China opposed the deployment of weapons in outer space. The countries also agreed to strengthen mutual trade and resist corruption, the report said.
