British Petroleum and the Iranian NIOC began talks on oil supplies

Almaty. April 26. Silkroadnews – National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and oil giant British Petroleum began negotiations on oil supplies, Seyed Mohsen Ghamsari director of NIOC International Affairs said, IrTAG reports.

“In case the agreement is reached, the oil will be sold to BP’s refinery in South Africa or other parts of the world,” S. Ghamsari said.

Earlier NIOC reported about the beginning of negotiations with its former customers such as Royal Dutch Shell, Vitol, BP, MOL and Italian Eni and Saras.

The negotiations have been initiated by the British side.

According to the Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh, now the parties discuss the price differences, as Iran will only be comfortable with “a competitive market price”.
