By 2030, Uzbekistan needs to invest nearly $47 billion in the development of transport - experts

Almaty. June 3. Silkroadnews - By 2030, investment in the transport sector of Uzbekistan should reach $46.7 billion to provide the necessary pace of development of the industry. This was stated by the coordinator of projects of the Center for Economic Research of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ergashev, reports UzTAG.
According to experts of the Center, to maintain these growth rates, cargo in the next 15 years in the physical volume should grow by 4.4 times - up to 6.04 billion tons. The share of investment in the transport sector relative to GDP should increase from 3.35% in 2013 to 4.6% in 2030.
As previously reported, Uzbekistan to the development of transport infrastructure will invest about $10 billion under the program of development of infrastructure, transport and communications construction for 2015-2019 years.
