Almaty. January 23. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan's car market for the first time since 2009 demonstrated drop in new car sales in the annual comparison, the president of the Association of Kazakhstan's automotive business (AKAB) Andrei Lavrentiev.
On medium-term forecasts of AKAB, in the following years the drop-down trend will dominate, and the likely volume of official sales in 2015 will be at the level of 110 thousand units of new cars. The forecast took into account risks such as volatility of the ruble and the complete independence of the official market in terms of integration.
"Changes in the segment of retail sales were directly related to the new technical regulations (in the beginning of the year), the devaluation of the national currency in February, the aggravation of the geopolitical situation in the CIS sanctions against Russia, and as a result - an imbalance of exchange which caused the shaft "gray" cheap imports from Russia", - said Alexander Lavrentiev.
