Cargo freights between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan grew by around 70% in 2016
Almaty. 5 June. Silkroadnews – Bishkek hosted another regular meeting of the Kazakhstani-Kyrgyz commission on road transport within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the international road transport dated December 25, 2003, KyrTAG writes.
Having noted the dynamic development of the international road transport the parties also established the quota for 2017 and 2018 permission forms exchange in the amount of 500 permits to/from third countries and 30 permits for the occasional transportation of passengers and signed the protocol.
At the end of 2016, the volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan increased 66% and amounted to 1307.5 thousand tonnes. The major goods transported by road are construction products, vegetable products, ready-made food products and so on.
