Caspian Pipeline Consortium increased oil export by 4.1% in January-April

Almaty. May 4. Silkroadnews – In January-April 2016 the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) exported 15.069 million tons of oil, which is 4.1% higher than in the same period of 2015, CPC officials inform.
According to report, this April the oil exports amounted to 3.136 million tons versus 3.495 million tons the same month of last year.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been established for the construction of the pipeline and export of Kazakhstani oil in transit through the territory of Russia. The CPC owns Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline with a total length of more than 1.5 thousand km connecting the fields of the west of Kazakhstan to the Russian Black Sea coast. The oil exports volume shipped by the consortium in 2015 amounted to 42.759 million tons, which is 7% higher than in 2014.

The CPC shareholders are: Russian Federation (represented by “Transneft” – 24%, and “CPC Company” – 7%) – 31%; Kazakhstan (represented by “KazMunayGas” – 19%, and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC – 1.75%) – 20.75%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company – 15%, LUKARCO B.V. – 12.5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company – 7.5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited – 7.5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited – 2%, Eni International N.A.N.V. – 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1.75%.
