China and the United States signed a plan on eco-partnership

Almaty. June 7. Silkroadnews – The Chinese state councilor Yang Jiechi and the US Secretary of State John Kerry attended the signing ceremony of China-US EcoPartnerships agreement at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Yang Jiechi noted the eco-partnership is one of the important areas of China-US cooperation in the field of climate change. For 7 years the two countries brought the total number of partnerships under the pact up to 42.

The Chinese government has been promoting the creation of an ecological civilization and low-carbon development. China and the U.S. have great potential for cooperation in green growth. The Chinese side intends to work with the US to promote cooperation through its new forms and expand areas of cooperation.

John Kerry, in his turn, noted that the United States and China actively cooperate and have achieved many-sided results in the climate change field. Strengthening the cooperation between two countries’ enterprises and various public communities shall contribute to address the climate change challenges and promote the wider application of clean energy in the world.
