China-Arab Expo opened in the north-west of China

Almaty. September 6. Silkroadnews - China-Arab trade exhibition opened in the north-west of China, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
“The four-day China-Arab States Expo began Wednesday in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region”, the report said.
The exhibition is said to be focused on trade in goods and services, as well as cooperation in the fields of technology, investment and tourism. Particular attention will be paid to the Belt and Road initiative, also the exhibition program includes forums on high-speed railways, logistics and credits.
As reported, representatives from 47 countries and regions, executives from 1080 companies and nearly 5,000 exhibitors representing 31 industries, from transport to big data, take part in the expo work.
“China-Arab trade reached 171.14 billion U.S. dollars in 2016, and agreements on projects worth 40.37 billion dollars were signed between the two sides, up 40.8 percent from 2015. China's non-financial direct investment in Arab countries surged 74.9 percent”, the publication reads.
The exhibition, held every two years and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Ningxia government, is the third since 2013.
