Almaty. December 30. Silkroadnews - On Tuesday, officially started the construction of the third stage of the expansion project of the Shanghai airport "Pudong", reports Xinhua news agency.
"As part of the third stage of expansion of the airport will be built two terminals (S1 and S2). After the completion in 2019 the annual passenger flow of the airport will increase to 80 million people", - said in a statement.
Total investment in the implementation of the third stage of the expansion project of the airport will be about 20.6 billion yuan.
Currently, the Shanghai international airport "Pudong" has two terminals, four runways and three zones of cargo operations.
The design capacity of the airport, is 42 million people. In 2015, passenger traffic significantly exceeds the design capacity of the airport and reached 60 million people.
