China called for cooperation in fighting climate change

Almaty. August 29. Silkroadnews – China called for cooperation in fighting climate change, China Radio International reported.
“China on Monday called on all nations to cooperate on tackling global climate change. Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi was speaking during a meeting with Patricia Espinosa, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Executive Secretary”, Xinhua agency wrote.
It is noted that Yang Jiechi called on all countries to take appropriate actions, as climate change affects everyone. He said that China hopes that all the countries will adhere to the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities, take into account the situation in different regions and speed up their actions by 2020.
In her turn, P. Espinosa said that the UNFCCC secretariat hopes for more cooperation with China on climate change issues.
Chinese media reported on snow in Heilongjiang Province in northeast China on August 28. Last week typhoon Hato and storm Pakhar struck China causing serious damage to the country.
