China completed the first stage of creating a single interdepartmental early warning system for emergencies

Almaty. April 19. Silkroadnews – China has completed the first stage of building a single interdepartmental early warning system for emergencies, the Xinhua news agency reported.

This became known during a joint meeting of the China Meteorological Administration and the State Administration of Work Safety.

The next stage, as it was announced, should include development of technical regulations required, improvement of response efficiency and the accuracy of the information to be shared, first of all, on the industrial accidents.

To date 15 ministries, committees and other government departments have joined the center. As of the end of 2016 the center communicated about 550 thousand alerts, including more than 548 thousand reporting on natural disasters.

The National Early Warning Information Center was established under the China Meteorological Administration in February 2015 to communicate information on natural disasters, man-made accidents and disasters, as well as on emergencies in the field of public health and public safety.
