China handed over to Georgia free technical assistance worth $10.7 million

Almaty. May 14. Silkroadnews - "The Chinese government handed over to the Georgian side a grant technical assistance in the amount of 10.764 million dollars for the implementation of reclamation and irrigation works", - said the publication "People's Daily".
Handed over 245 units of modern equipment and electromechanical installations. Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili praised the Chinese side, and thanked China for its support. He noted that the trucks will enable faster and more efficient rehabilitation works that will promote thorough streamlining amelioration of infrastructure and its development.
The prime minister said that Chinese investments in Georgia's economy are consistently growing. This gives the opportunity to shorten link between Europe and Asia.
"Restoration of the Silk Road will give an opportunity to our country, Europe and Asia to establish new economic and trade relations", - said I.Garibashvili.
He said that in this context, particular importance is given to trade and economic relations with China, which is among the three largest trade partners of Georgia
