China has detained about 900 people on suspicion of cybercrime
Almaty. November 13. Silkroadnews - As part of the target campaign, China's law enforcement authorities managed to uncover 400 cases of crimes related to the use of modern cybertechnology and detain nearly 900 suspects, inforemd the agency Xinhua.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, special campaign on Cybercrime was launched nationwide in July this year. The main efforts of police were directed to combat cyber attacks, hacking websites with subsequent control over them, the development and dissemination of viruses, theft of money from electronic purses open to Internet transactions, and fraud.
The campaign also involved law enforcement agencies of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
In order to counter the tightening of this kind of "social evils", China have set up more than 300 laboratories for examination and analysis of digital evidence and improved security system on the cyberspace.
