China hopes the new US president to make decisions with account of the PRC’s positions

Almaty. January 20. Silkroadnews – The Chinese government hopes the US President-elect Donald Trump to proceed from “the position of mutual benefit” of the US and China while forming the US economic policy, Ning Jizhe, Head of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, stated, TASS agency writes.

“I believe the US President Donald Trump will analyze the problems based on the positions of the mutual benefit of our states. (...) This is a trend that has been formed between our nations over the years. It is what I hope for”, he said when commented on possible impact of the new US administration’s policy on China’s GDP growth rate.

In 2016 China’s GDP growth rate amounted to 6.7% with GDP reaching 74.41 trillion yuan ($10.83 trillion) on the results of the year. In the IV quarter growth rate reached 6.8%.

At present China experiences a gradual slowdown of the national economy growth. In 2010 the country’s economic growth made 10.4%, followed by 9.2% in 2011, 7.8% in 2012, 7.7% at the end of 2013 and 6.9% in 2015.

According to the forecasts by the experts of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, in 2017 China’s GDP growth is projected to amount to 6.5%.
