China imported a record volume of oil in July
Almaty. August 10. Silkroadnews - China imported a record amount of oil in July, reported RBC.
According to the General Administration of Customs of China, shipments amounted to 30.71 tons, which is equivalent to about 7.3 million barrels per day. A historic monthly record of 7.4 million barrels a day, was recorded in April.
As noted, the July increase in imports by 30% happened due to the need to replenish strategic reserves of oil. Thus, according to customs data, net exports of oil rose to a nine-month high, which indicates a weakening of consumer demand.
