China increased by 8.7 times import of Kazakh wheat in January-July

Astana. August 28. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan increased exports of wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye to China in January-July 2014 to 165.1 thousand tons worth $44.4 million that 8.7 times greater in number and 7.6 times more in cost than in comparison to the same period in 2013, reported KazTAG citing state Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance.
As reprted, excluding the Customs Union, Kazakhstan increased wheat exports in January-July 2014 to 2 315.6 thousand tons ($ 542 million), which is 35.6% more in quantity and 18.2% more in cost, compared to the same period last year.
The largest buyers of Kazakh wheat are: Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Germany, Sudan, Turkey, Sweden.
