China intends to establish a visa-free regime with Russia

Almaty. November 11. Silkroadnews - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China intends to establish a visa-free regime with Russia to increase tourist traffic in both countries, reported the newspaper "Vedomosti" referring to the head of the Department of European and Asian Affairs of China Gui Tsunyu.
He recalled that in recent years Russia and China have made a number of steps to ensure that the flow of tourists from both countries is gaining momentum. In particular, this is the visa-free regime for groups of at least five people. But, according to Gui Tsunyu even this simplified scheme no longer satisfies the requirements of Chinese residents wishing to visit Russia.
According to him, taken measures already yield results. So, for the past two years, the total number of Chinese tourists who visited Russia, has doubled and exceeded 1.1 million people a year. He stressed that the growing number of tourists from Russia in the rich southern provinces of China.
A Chinese foreign ministry noted with regret that over the past two years, decreased Russian tourist traffic to China.
