Almaty. October 9. Silkroadnews - China is preparing its own fifth-generation fighter J-31 for export, said the electronic version of the newspaper China Daily.
As part of this, as stated in the publication of the sources of AVIC (China Aviation Industry Corporation), the company disclosed the characteristics of the aircraft within the last October 8 in Beijing aviation exhibition for advertising fighter.
"The sooner customers will learn about the possibilities of J-31, the more likely AVIC will get a good market share of the fifth-generation fighter. After receiving payments from customers, the company will be able to use them to establish a production line, and further work on the modernization of the aircraft in order to attract new customers", - said the source of the newspaper.
In November 2014, AVIC Deputy Director General Li Yuhai said that from the beginning of work on the J-31, the company planned to have it delivered to foreign customers.
According to China Daily, the maximum takeoff weight of J-31 is 25 tonnes at combat radius of 1.2 thousand km. The fighter can develop the speed limit to 2205 km/h. The weight of the aircraft payload is 8 tons. Service ceiling of J-31 - up to 16 km. The service life of the fighter will be up to 30 years.
At present, China is actively developing two fifth-generation fighter - J-20 and J-31.
