Almaty. December 30. Silkroadnews - China launched a "Gaofen-4" satellite remote sensing (RS) with high-resolution optics, reported the agency Xinhua.
"Gaofen-4" has become the world's first geosynchronous satellite with high resolution remote sensing. The new device is able to stay over a given area for a long time, carrying out continuous monitoring of hazardous natural processes and phenomena, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, landslides and floods", - said the publication with reference to the director of the Fifth Research Institute at the Chinese corporation of space science and technology, Zhang Hongtao.
The device will operate in geosynchronous orbit.
