China plans to double the GDP by 2020

Almaty. October 30. Silkroadnews - China plans by 2020 to increase the level of GDP twice compared to 2010, says in a statement at the end of the four-day plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, reported the newspaper "Vedomosti".
"Leaders of the ruling CPC issued a statement confirming the intention to develop a consumer economy, and promote technological development. The new objectives must also strengthen the role of law, reducing the development of gap between different regions and ethnic groups", - says the publication.
The document highlights plans to double the income of urban and rural residents.
According to the newspaper, doubling the size of the economy within a decade would require an average annual growth of 7%. This is consistent with previous promises of CPC, but above forecasts of the IMF and many analysts who expect that GDP growth will slow down in 2017 to 6%.
