China plans to increase its total investment in Kazakhstan to USD 10 bln

Shanghai. May 21. Silkroadnews - Chinese investment is to reach the total of USD 10 bln in Kazakhstan, as Kazakh President Nazarbayev informed.
"Total amount that China plans to invest in Kazakhstan is to exceed 10 bln. Thus, our program aimed at industrial innovation development is to receive new suppose from our great neighbour - People's Republic of China. All of that is to contribute to economic development of Kazakhstan, to increase prosperity of our nation", President Nazarbayev said at the Press Conference following the negotiations with People's Republic of China that took place within the framework of his official visit to the country this Tuesday.
He says construction of a Kazakh terminal at the Port of Lyanyungang is an important step.
"This terminal has an opening capacity of 3 000 tonnes in transit of freight to Europe via China and Kazakhstan. This is equivalent to 250 carriages and this capacity is to double in the future", the head of the state said.
