China plans to strengthen measures to reduce the number of poor people by 2020

Almaty. October 13. Silkroadnews - The fight against poverty is one of the main objectives of the development plan of China in the 2016-2020 years. This was stated by deputy head of the Office of the State Council of China to assist in the development of the poor areas, Hong Tyanyun, reported the agency Xinhua.
Over the past 15 years, China has helped more than 600 million people to improve living conditions. This is almost 70% of the number of people who came out of poverty around the world during this period.
At the same time, in rural areas of China still live 70,170 million people, the annual income of an whom at the end of last year did not exceed 2.3 thousand yuan ($376).
H.Tyanyun indicated that the challenge for China will be to assist these people to get out of poverty until 2020. The Chinese government is planning a series of targeted measures to overcome poverty, including launch of a campaign to promote education and financial assistance, as well as to create a public platform for the mobilization in the fight against poverty.
