China pledges to protect freedom of religion

Beijing. April 4. Silkroadnews - China has promised to continue to respect and protect the freedom of religious beliefs of its citizens in a white paper, Xinhua reports.
Being a socialist country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China supports the policy of freedom of religious belief on the basis of national and religious traditions, protection of the right of citizens to freedom of religious belief, strengthening of active and healthy religious relations, and religious and social harmony, Bureau of the State Council, a white paper titled “China’s Policies and Practices on Protecting Freedom of Religious Belief” says.
“Religious believers and non-believers respect each other, and live in harmony, committing themselves to reform and opening up and the socialist modernization, and contribute to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation,” the document reads.
