China ranks 4th in the world in terms of manufacturing ability

Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews – China ranks 4th in the world in terms of manufacturing ability, Xinhua writes.
“Since the beginning of the XXI century the gap between China and the countries with strong manufacturing industries has got reduced by a half,” the publication says referring to the report on China’s manufacturing development index.

Since the beginning of new century China’s index has grown from 30% to 58 % of the US data. At present, in terms of comprehensive index of countries with strong manufacturing industry China ranks the 4th in the world after the United States (first level), Germany and Japan (second level).

According to “Chinese manufacturing industry – 2025” strategy, by 2025 China plans to reach the second level of the countries with strong manufacturing industry.
