China’s firm plans to produce up to 207 kg of gold in Tajikistan till end of year

Beijing. February 1. Silkroadnews - China’s company plans to produce up to 207 kg of gold at the gold mine “Pakru” in Tajikistan till the end of the year, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports on Thursday.
“By the end of 2018, China’s “KrysoResourcesLimited” plans producing up to 207 kg of gold at the Pakrut deposit in Tajikistan. In the future, gold mining is expected to reach 1-1.5 tons per year,” the company’s official said.
At the same time the lower house of the Tajik parliament ratified the agreement between the Government of Tajikistan, “KrysoResourcesLimited” and “Pakrut” LLC on Pakrut deposit development in the Ramit Jamoat of Vahdat.
The head the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management of Tajikistan Farrukh Hamralizoda, the Chinese side is the owner of all the stakes of OJSC Pakrut.
The parliament stressed, the development of the Pakrut field was started by the Chinese side in 2012, more than $180 million has been invested into the field project so far, another $76 million are planned to be raised.
In 2030, the gold mining project could, by mutual consent, be transferred under the jurisdiction of Tajikistan.
The Tajik side estimated the Pakrut gold reserves to reach 160 tons, the Chinese side forecasts reserves of this field to make about 40 tons.
