China’s GDP growth is expected to reach 6.7% in the first quarter of 2017

Almaty. March 30. Silkroadnews – According to preliminary forecasts, China’s GDP growth in the first quarter of 2017 is expected to reach 6.7%, Xinhua news agency writes.

According to China’s National Academy of Economic Strategy (NAES), with the positive trends of the fourth quarter of 2016 that have persisted through the first quarter of 2017, there is a significant increase observed on producers’ prices and enterprises’ profits, as well as increase in imports.

According to the forecast, consumer prices in the first three months of this year will grow by 1.4%.

In view of the average growth in industrial production and reduction in investment in the second quarter, the GDP growth in the first half of 2017, the NAES experts say, is projected at 6.7%.

According to the NAES report, a steady increase in consumption is expected from April through June, yet, no increase is expected for exports.
