China’s vice public security minister was elected president of Interpol

Almaty. November 10. Silkroadnews – China’s vice public security Meng Hongwei has been elected the president of Interpol, “Xinhua” agency reported.  

According to the article, the election result has been announced during the 85th session of the Interpol General Assembly held in Indonesia.

Meng Hongwei took the post of deputy minister in April 2004, in August of the same year he also became the head of the Interpol National Central Bureau in China.
