China sent fighter jets to the disputed island in the South China Sea – mass-media

Almaty. February 24. Silkroadnews - China sent its fighter jets to the disputed island in the South China Sea, where the Chinese anti-aircraft missile complexes have already been allocated earlier, Reuters reported referring to the source in the US government.
    As “Kommersant” newspaper reported, the Chinese long-range air defense missile systems have been allocated on one of the disputed islands in the South China Sea. China has placed two batteries of eight anti-aircraft missile systems HQ- 9 and the radar system on Woody Island. Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense has already warned that Taiwan will “closely monitor the situation” and called all the parties involved “to work together to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea”.
    The newspaper reminds, in November 2015, China voiced its intention to continue to build the military and civilian facilities on the artificial islands in the South China Sea. The islands are built in the area of the Spratly archipelago located in the center of territory subject to dispute between several countries, including China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
