China signed documents on cooperation with 13 states of Central and Eastern Europe within “One Belt, One Road” initiative
Almaty. June 6. Silkroadnews – Today China signed documents on cooperation with 13 out of 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe within the framework of “One Belt, One Road” initiative, the Xinhua news agency reports.
Zhou Xiaoyan, head of the department of European affairs with the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, noted the stable development of trade between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
According to statistics, over the last six years the volume of bilateral trade has grown considerably, the volume of mutual investment is growing continuously. Chinese enterprises have invested more than $8 billion in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Their investments were mainly directed to engineering, chemical industry, telecommunications, household electrical engineering, development of new sources of energy, commodity trade, finance and agriculture fields.
At the same time, enterprises of 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe invested more than $1.2 billion in such Chinese industries as engineering, auto parts production and finance.
