China to allocate $1.5 million to Armenian Defense Ministry

Almaty. September 5. Silkroadnews – China will allocate $1.5 million to the defense ministry of Armenia, Armenian ARKA news agency reported.
On Monday Armenian and Chinese Defense Ministers Vigen Sargsyan and Chang Wanquan signed an agreement on China’s allocating of 10 million yuan ($1,522,400) to Armenia’s defense ministry, the report said.
During the bilateral talks, the parties paid a special attention to training of military specialists for the two countries and cooperation in the humanitarian field as effective areas for cooperation.
According to V. Sargsyan, Armenian servicemen who have received higher education in military educational institutions of China, become remarkable officers and commanders, and Armenia, in turn, is ready to expand the program to train Chinese military specialists.
The parties have also agreed to intensify efforts to deepen the Armenian-Chinese cooperation in the defense field.
