China to amend the Communist Party constitution

Almaty. September 20. Silkroadnews - The charter of the Communist Party of China will be amended, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
“The Communist Party of China is expected to amend its constitution at the upcoming 19th CPC National Congress next month by adding key theoretical viewpoints and strategic thoughts,” the report said.
The amendments have been developed taking into account the new conditions and will promote the development of socialism in accordance with the Chinese characteristics and party building.
The amended constitution, as reported, should fully embody the latest Sinicization of Marxism, new concepts of governance, thoughts and strategies of the CPC Central Committee adopted at the 18th National Congress of the CPC, and a new experience in strengthening the party leadership. The amendments, as expected, will bring the party more energy and force allowing to be closer to the people.
According to the agency, the draft amendments will be presented at the seventh plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee scheduled for October 11, a week prior to the planned 19th National Congress.
