China to celebrate the Day of charity

Almaty. September 2. Silkroadnews – The Law of the PRC on the charity formally comes into force as of September 1, 2016, «Xinhua» agency reports.

«Development of the law on charity contributes to boost the continuous accumulation of public moral and ethical strength within the society, provide eternal spiritual support to realize the Chinese dream of  the Chinese nation revival», NPC Law Committee vice chairman Li Shishi said.

According to the publication, in 2006 the total charity donations amounted to less than 10 billion yuan, now it has grown to 100 billion yuan. By the end of June 2016 the country registered a total of 670 thousand public organizations, including 5038 funds.

According to the PRC's Law on charity, each year on September 5 China will celebrate the Day of charity.
