China to create a new pilot development zone on the border with Vietnam

Almaty. August 15. Silkroadnews – China’s State Council has approved to create a new pilot development zone in Pingxiang, city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the border with Vietnam, “Xinhua” agency reported.

“The plan for the new zone will be published by the National Development and Reform Commission”, official website of the Chinese government informs.

Thus, Pingxiang will be the second “key pilot area for the development and opening-up” in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after Dongxing, for which the decision on the establishment of a pilot zone was approved in August 2012.

At present China’s pilot zones for the development and expansion of openness also include Yunnan Province’s Mengla bordering Laos, Rulli on the border with Myanmar, as well as Inner Mongolia’s Manzhouli city and northeastern Heilongjiang Province’s Suifenhe-Dongning zone in the neighborhood of Russia.
