China to intervene in case US attacks DPRK

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews – China will intervene if the US attacks the DPRK, Russian “Фонд Стратегической Культуры” reports.
China to remain neutral if North Korea is the first to strike the US with a retaliatory strike to follow by the U.S. If the US strikes first and try to change the regime of Kim Jong Un, China will intervene”, the report said.
After Pyongyang’s statements on intention to test new medium-range missiles capable of hitting targets 30-40 km near the U.S. territory of Guam, the situation came close to a military scenario.
It is reported the PRC believes the U.S. try to subjugate North Korea.
Beijing could not affect Washington and Pyongyang and force them to abandon militaristic rhetoric. With its actions Pyongyang wants to force the U.S. to negotiate; in their turn the U.S. try to subjugate North Korea. Beijing is cautious and warn both countries without experience of long balancing on the brink of war not to involuntarily provoke an armed conflict, the publication notes.
The report says the US repeatedly rejected the DPRK’s peace initiatives.
Pyongyang’s interest in a peaceful dialogue with the U.S. is not lower than the one of Beijing. At the same time, North Koreans are taught a sad example of Libya that has abandoned nuclear weapons and fallen victim of the Western coalition. The renunciation of nuclear weapons for the DPRK is tantamount to suicide. The U.S. will immediately take advantage of Pyongyang’s weakness and unleash war. Along with the testing of missile weapons, the DPRK made several peace initiatives, including the proposal to continue negotiations with Washington. Yet Washington needs a war, not a dialogue, thus, Pyongyang’s peace initiatives have been ignored, the publication reads.
