China to resume issuing visas to citizens of Kyrgyzstan starting from October 10, MFA of KR projects
Almaty. September 19. Silkroadnews – China will resume the issuance of visas to citizens of Kyrgyzstan starting from 10 October, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Usenov states, KyrTAG wrote.
«When the question of issue of visas to China is resolved? It is a subject of concern for many citizens of the republic today, including students, who cannot get their visas», the issue was raised by deputy of zhogorku kenesh of "Ata Republic – Zhurt" faction Akylbek Zhamangulov at the meeting of the Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Science, Culture and Public Health on Monday.
In his turn Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said China will possibly resume the issuance of visas next month, or starting from October 10 to be more precise.
To remind, on August 30 a car driven by a suicide bomber explodes after ramming the gates of the Chinese embassy in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. The bomber died. Two embassy employees were injured. A criminal case has been opened under article «terrorism».
Later, the organizers and executors of terrorist acts were identified.
After this incident the Chinese embassy stopped issuing visas to citizens of Kyrgyzstan. In early September, the Kyrgyz students studying in China's universities have not been able to go to their places of study.
