Almaty. September 11. Silkroadnews – China will strengthen control over pricing during the upcoming holidays, Xinhua news agency reported.
“China’s economic planner will ensure forceful regulation of pricing regulations during the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays,” the report said.
It is noted that, according to the circular letter of the National Development and Reform Commission, local authorities should closely monitor food prices and possible price increases pressure due to holidays and hazardous weather conditions. In this case, stores and restaurants in tourist spots, as well as transport companies, e-commerce platforms, developers and real estate agents should not raise prices for tickets or goods.
As the publication reminds, “the National Day is on Oct. 1 and is celebrated with a week-long holiday. The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Oct. 4 this year”. According to the Ministry of Commerce, last year, during the celebration of the national holiday, citizens and guests of the country spent about 1.2 trillion yuan ($185 billion) on shopping and food.
