China, together with Ethiopia and Kenya will build power transmission lines

Almaty. June 22. Silkroadnews - Chinese company of Electric Power Equipment and Technology, a wholly owned State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid) has signed a contract with the state electricity company of Ethiopia and power grid company of Kenya on the construction of the Ethiopia-Kenya power transmission lines with a capacity of 500 kV, reported Xinhua news agency.
"This transmission line will be the first in the East African region", - says the publication.
As noted, the project that will direct current transmission lines between Ethiopia and Kenya is an important point in the plans of the two governments.
