Almaty. September 5. Silkroadnews – China warned North Korea preparations for launch of another missile will mount tension in the region, Australian SBS reported.
“Reports that North Korea is preparing for another intercontinental missile attack has prompted China to warn against it, saying that North Korea should not worsen tensions”, report said.
At the same time, it is noted that South Korea has detected signs of the DPRK’s preparations for a new launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile, though did not provide details on anticipated launch date.
As the publication recalls, on Sunday the DPRK tested a nuclear bomb with a capacity of 50 kilotons, which is five times the size of the previous test that took place in September last year and three times bigger the bomb the U.S. dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.
In response to these tests, South Korea and the United States began deploying additional anti-ballistic missile forces.
Two launchers of the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) are already operational, but public concern about the possible environmental impact of the U.S. system forced Seoul to suspend the installation.
