Almaty. December 14. Silkroadnews - China will soon become a shareholder of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), reported TASS with reference to the Japanese media.
"The relevant decision can be made within a week. Connecting of China to this structure will contribute to its strategic vision to create a new Silk Road between East Asia and Europe in the form of the series of inter-related transport and industrial projects", - says the publication.
The leading countries of the European Union joined the created by Beijing Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The EBRD has previously expressed readiness to consult the structure of projects in Russia and the CIS.
Beijing has applied for membership in the Bank last month.
