China will continue to assist the socio-economic development of Cambodia - Li Keqiang

Almaty. March 24. Silkroadnews - The Chinese government will continue to support the socio-economic development of Cambodia and to encourage the expansion of Chinese enterprises’ investments in Cambodia, prime minister of the State Council of China Li Keqiang said at the meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Xinhua news agency reports.

Li Keqiang noted that China and Cambodia should accelerate joining their development strategies, promote cooperation in production capacity and investment fields, strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, agricultural products processing, infrastructure construction, cultural heritage protection for people of the two countries to derive more advantages from cooperation between two countries.

In his turn Hun Sen said Cambodia supports the formation of the Lancang-Mekong countries community. The Cambodian side expresses its gratitude for the support and assistance rendered by China and welcomes the expansion of Chinese enterprises’ investments into infrastructure construction, agriculture and other sectors of Cambodia.
