Almaty. October 5. Silkroadnews - Seismological Bureau of China in Beijing signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese association of space technologies, reported the Chinese media.
"Interaction between the parties will be mutually beneficial, as it will develop space technologies and systems to improve the prevention of earthquakes and disaster relief", - said the publication with reference to the director of the Seismological Bureau of China Chen Jianmin.
The plans of the parties to accelerate the creation of stereoscopic seismic surveys and run continuous monitoring of physical fields of the Earth. This will allow us to obtain information about major earthquakes and develop a plan of care.
Also Seismological Bureau intends together with the Chinese association of space technologies to create a satellite surveillance system for earthquakes and volcanic activity, share remote sensing data, conduct scientific research and others. Due to this Seismological Bureau can monitor seismic activity, not only in the country but also throughout the world.
In the short term, until 2017, the parties intend to develop and launch a satellite into space electromagnetic monitoring, start the applied use of Chinese satellite positioning system "Beidou" and create an experimental model of the application of satellite tracking system of seismic activity.
