Almaty. November 10. Silkroadnews - China will invest $40 billion to the creation of the Silk Road Fund, reports the agency "Xinhua".
As the chairman of the PRC, the goal of the new fund is to "overcome the problems of transport and communications in Asia by forming a financing platform". The fund will provide financial support for investments and cooperation in the field of infrastructure, resources, industry, and finance, as well as other transport and communication projects with the participation of various countries along the Silk Road economic zone and maritime Silk Road of the 21st century. The Fund will be "open" to participate invese Hur from Asia and other regions of the world.
Xi Jingpin called transport and communication links in Asia 'key link' in the process of identifying new growth factors and competitive advantages of the continent and the need to direct efforts to achieve the interconnection region. Chinese President also pointed out that the basic framework of transport and communication links in Asia should be created based on economic corridors, and noted that the draft economic zone of the Silk Road and the maritime Silk Road has "generally been formed".
Xi Jingpin stressed that Asian countries should as soon as possible achieve the fruits of interconnectedness through a breakthrough in the development of transport infrastructure, and China in the next 5 years will provide opportunities to neighboring countries for the preparation of 20 thousand specialists in the transport and communication sector.
As noted, Xi Jingpin made a similar announcement during a meeting with leaders of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Tajikistan, which was submitted to the plan of 5 points for the promotion of transport and communications of the Asia-Pacific region. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the United Nations Economic Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
