Almaty. August 11. Silkroadnews – Chinese are the world’s most optimistic people, according to People’s Daily Online.
“Chinese are the world’s most optimistic people about the future of their country, says the monthly survey, “What Worries the World - July 2017”, released by the global market research and consulting firm, Ipsos”, the report says.
It is noted that 87% of respondents in China believe their country is going in the right direction. This is the highest rate among adults under aged 65 surveyed in 26 countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Britain, Germany, India, Japan, Russia, the US and South Korea.
Reportedly, while the economic giants, China and the US, are gradually becoming geopolitical rivals, the Chinese are more confident in the future of their country, while the majority of Americans are concerned that their country is going down.
According to the publication, since 2010, the main problems that worry citizens around the world are unemployment (36%), political corruption (34%) and wealth inequality (33%). Chinese respondents are most worried about moral decline (47%), ecology (40%) and unemployment (31%), while the three main problems for Americans are health, terrorism, and crime and violence.
In addition, it is noted that in July 2017 almost 43% of Americans surveyed were optimistic about their country, which is 4% less than in the previous month, but much higher than during the presidential election in October 2016.
