Chinese hydroelectric unit at the hydropower plant in Zimbabwe will be put into operation at the end of the year
Almaty. June 6. Silkroadnews – At the end of 2017 China’s first hydropower unit will be put into test operation at the hydroelectric power station in Zimbabwe, Xinhua news agency reported.
The project implemented by the Chinese experts to expand the hydroelectric power plant “Kariba” in Zimbabwe has now been fulfilled by 85%.
The first hydraulic unit will be put into test operation by the end of 2017. The work on the second hydroelectric unit will be completed in the first quarter of 2018.
Connecting two new hydroelectric units to the power system of Zimbabwe will to a significant degree solve Zimbabwe’s electricity shortage problem.
