Chinese investors want to build in the south of Kazakhstan a metallurgical plant

Almaty. May 14. Silkroadnews - Chinese investors have chosen the South Kazakhstan region as the place to build a major metallurgical plant worth about $900 million because of the region's rich resource base. This was reported by KazTAG.
"Now they make the feasibility study, and soon will begin construction of a metallurgical plant in South-Kazakhstan region", - said Deputy Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs (NCE) of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Nurzhan Altayev on the sidelines of a business forum "One Belt, one way " on Thursday.
"Chinese investors have considered fields in Kyzylorda region, but because of a high content of impurities in iron ore, they decided to choose Abailsk deposit", - he explained.
According to the deputy chairman of the SPE, the new metallurgical plant in South Kazakhstan will annually produce about 1 million tons of steel products.
Recall, Chinese investors have considered options for the construction of metallurgical plant worth about $900 million in the South Kazakhstan and Kyzylorda regions.
