Chinese tourists have spent $60 billion for five days
Almaty. October 6. Silkroadnews – Within the first five days of holidays on the occasion of the National Day celebrated to mark the formation of the People's Republic of China, Chinese tourists spend on tours $60 billion, Chinese media reported.
During the first five days of October 589 million people traveled around China, another 6 million went on foreign trips.
«The most popular holiday destinations this year are the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, U.S., Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Maldives and Russia», the report by Ctrip, the biggest tour operator in China, states.
As tour operator notes, «Chinese tourists prefer visiting other countries in groups and choosing the sightseeing program directly at the site».
On results of 2015 China's international tourism industry revenue reached $114 billion ranking the country to the second place in the world, surpassing Spain.
Last year about 128 million Chinese citizens have made foreign trips spending around $292 billion abroad.
When planning the future trip Chinese pay special attention to learn about sightseeings and foreign cuisine peculiarities.
Holidays are not finished yet, thus, the total amount of spendings may turn even higher, media reported.
