CIS will create groups to resolve the crisis at the border

Almaty. October 16. Silkroadnews - Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS member states in Burabai announced the creation of groups of border and other agencies at the border to resolve the crisis, informed the press service of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, he noted that "it is important to closely monitor the situation at the external borders of the Commonwealth".
"And here I can not disagree with the president of Uzbekistan, who spoke with alarm about the situation prevailing in Afghanistan. The situation there is really close to critical. Terrorists of all stripes are gaining more and more influence and do not hide plans for further expansion. One of their goals - to break into the Central Asian region. It is important to be ready to consistently respond to such a scenario", - he continued.
"And in this regard, noted the importance of the concept of military cooperation of states - participants of the CIS till 2020. Putting a reliable barrier to the external borders of the CIS will help the implementation of the program of cooperation of the Commonwealth in strengthening border security in the years of 2016-2020. It provides for the possibility of forming groups of border and other agencies of the Commonwealth countries to resolve the crisis at the border. I am sure these documents will significantly increase the impact of overall efforts to combat transnational crime and drug trafficking", - concluded the president of Russia.
