Almaty. September 20. Silkroadnews – Commitments to political agreement on the national unity government of Afghanistan are not fulfilled, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Khan stated, AfTAG reports.

According to him, the conflict between President Ashraf Ghani and Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah is declining, yet there are no real signs proving the commitments on these agreements are observed.

«They have agreed we will step by step move towards the implementation of the agreement on national unity government forming, however, today, 10 or 15 days later, we do not see any actions in this regard undertaken», Mohammad Khan said.

With this he noted that the government whose legitimacy is open to question is still better than no government at all.
Meanwhile, a number of deputies of the parliament have accused the government, especially its senior officials, of incompetence and demanded their resignation. The deputies say, around 80% of the Afghan population express their dissatisfaction with the president and the prime minister.

To remind, the conflict between the leaders of a national unity government broke out a month ago, when prime minister Abdullah Abdullah accused President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in failure to fulfill the agreement on forming a government.
